Families interact with program Community Portals during some of the most important moments of the school year, registering for programs, updating account details, paying invoices, securing tax statements, and staying connected with essential details.
Arux has built the Community Portal to reflect your program and community. And we know that, for many of the communities we serve, English isn’t their first language. That can make what seems like a routine task feel overwhelming, leading to unnecessary support calls to your team.
To help every family navigate community programs with confidence, we’re introducing a new feature designed to make your programs even more accessible.
Introducing translated Community Portals
Admins can now activate Google Translate directly in the Community Portal header for their users. When enabled, families will see a Globe icon at the top of the page. With one click, they can choose their preferred language, and the Community Portal instantly updates the main text across pages.
If they navigate away from the Community Portal, their selected language stays in place, so there’s no need to re-select it.
No app install, no repeated steps—just a simple, seamless experience designed to make families feel supported in their language preferences.
Real use case
A parent’s preferred language is Somali. When they open your Community Portal to register for after school care, they tap the Globe icon and switch the Portal to Somali.
Now they can read program descriptions, understand fees, upload documents, and finish enrollment without guessing or asking for assistance. The result is less confusion on their end and less support required from your team.
